“An absolutely gorgeous record that highlights Ramirez’s and Jonson’s voices beautifully intertwining throughout this smartly produced record. Here’s hoping that a ‘Vol. 2’ collaboration is not far behind!!” – Max Humphries
"The whole thing is a delightful slice of sunny southern-California boardwalk pop. So if you’ve been missing the feel of a beach breeze in your hair, the sand beneath your feet, or perhaps a stroll down the boardwalk at twilight, just hit play and let Marc Jonson and Ramirez Exposure take you there." – Pop Rock Record
"Jonson et Ramírez, bien qu'ils s'inscrivent dans une riche tradition pop, ont réussi à transcender la somme de leurs influences pour offrir cet album unique" – Jean-Emmanuel (Rock&Folk)
"Sorprendentemente, a pesar de tener sus raíces bien ancladas en una música que brilló hace ya más de cincuenta años, el disco suena fresco e ilusionante" – Fidel Oltra (Ruta 66)
The importance of partnership in music can’t be underestimated. Paul McCartney admitted working alone in his recording studio took twice the time absent another person to spur him on.
As we embarked on our project, Ramirez Exposure and I entered an atmosphere passing the creative baton back and forth across the ocean. This collaboration procedure proved to be both inspiring and productive.
With file sharing so easy now an entire group can produce music together from multiple locations and seamlessly stitch it into a rock steady sonic landscape. Guest artists may contribute from their own home studios blending inspired performances to the whole. Mixing
and mastering engineers with fresh ears can finalize the project into a super finale.
Ramirez Exposure’s “off the beaten trail” Mellotron and unique vocalizations were highly anticipated each new recording session I received from Spain!
I in turn shaped my contribution to his compositions with great care and execution in order to keep things rolling along smoothly.
We both hope the fans will approve and enjoy the trip with us!
